Can I travel to the US with a criminal record?
Maybe - but not automatically. US Customs and Border Protection applies its own inadmissibility rules. DUI, drug offences, theft, and assault commonly trigger issues. A Canadian record suspension does not bind US authorities.
If you were already denied
Prior denials create CBP records. You likely need an I-192 waiver before lawful re-entry. Do not attempt entry while inadmissible without approval.
Does a Canadian pardon help?
Not for US entry purposes. You may still need a waiver even after PBC approval. Many clients pursue both pathways. See pardon vs US waiver.
