In many cases, yes. Once your sentence is complete and the waiting period has passed (typically 5 or 10 years depending on prosecution type), impaired driving convictions are often eligible. For first offences on or after March 13, 2012: 5 years after sentence completion for summary convictions, 10 years for indictable offences. Older offences may fall under transitional rules from 2010–2012. The waiting period starts when all fines, surcharges, probation, and court-ordered conditions are complete.
