The problem

Your record does not expire on its own

An old conviction for DUI, theft, assault, drugs, or fraud can keep showing up on background checks for life - long after you have moved on.

Jobs and licences

Offers disappear after a police check. Regulated work and promotions stay out of reach.

Housing and volunteering

Landlord screenings and vulnerable-sector checks can block rentals and coaching your kids’ team.

US travel blocked

Border denials, missed family events, and job requirements that cross the border - a Canadian pardon alone often is not enough.

How it works

Four steps from “do I qualify?” to submission

Free review first, then a documented path to a complete government application - the same structure top firms use, with human verification before every filing.

  1. 01

    Free eligibility review

We assess convictions, sentence completion, and waiting period - and confirm whether record suspension, DUI pardon, expungement, US waiver, or immigration relief fits your goals.

  2. 02

    Document collection

Tailored checklist: fingerprints, court records, and local police checks for every jurisdiction - tracked so nothing expires before filing.

  3. 03

    Human-reviewed preparation

AI-supported workflow sequencing plus mandatory specialist verification before anything is submitted to the PBC, CBP, or IRCC.

  4. 04

    Submission & support

Complete package filed to the correct authority. Clear status updates at every stage - no guessing what is done or still pending.

Canada-wide

Record suspension support in every province and territory

The PBC process is federal. What changes locally is which police service issues your record check and which courthouse holds your Proof of Conviction. We publish city-level guides for applicants across Canada.

Questions

Record suspension and pardon questions, answered

Straight answers on eligibility, costs, timelines, and what changes after approval - before you invest in documents or filing fees.

It's been 15+ years. Why does my record still show?

Criminal convictions do not automatically disappear in Canada. Until you receive a record suspension, your conviction can still appear on standard criminal record checks - even decades later.

Can I get a DUI pardon in Canada?

In many cases, yes. Once your sentence is complete and the waiting period has passed (typically 5 or 10 years depending on prosecution type), impaired driving convictions are often eligible. Unpaid fines, active probation, or incomplete interlock programs delay the clock. Start with a free eligibility review.

How long is the waiting period for a record suspension?

For first offences on or after March 13, 2012: 5 years after sentence completion for summary convictions, 10 years for indictable offences. Older offences may fall under transitional rules from 2010–2012. The waiting period starts when all fines, surcharges, probation, and court-ordered conditions are complete.

Is approval guaranteed?

No. Outcomes are decided solely by the Parole Board of Canada. We provide application support only - focusing on completeness and accuracy so paperwork issues do not sink an otherwise eligible application.

How much does a record suspension cost?

DIY applicants pay government and third-party disbursements for fingerprints, court documents, and local police checks - amounts vary by jurisdiction. Professional support fees are quoted transparently after your free review. See our cost guide.

Does a Canadian pardon help me enter the United States?

No. The US does not recognize Canadian record suspensions for entry. If US travel is your goal, you may need a separate US entry waiver. Many clients need both pathways.

Can I apply before my waiting period ends?

You can gather most documents before eligibility - fingerprints, court records, and police checks - but the PBC will not process your application until the waiting period is complete and every part of your sentence is satisfied.

Will employers see my record after a suspension?

Most standard criminal record checks will not show suspended offences. Vulnerable sector checks and some US border scenarios may still involve additional rules. We explain what applies to your situation during the free review.

Do you serve my province?

Yes. We provide secure remote application support across all Canadian provinces and territories. No office visit is required for preparation.

How do I get started?

Book a free eligibility check or call (647) 951-2477. We confirm your pathway, timeline, and document plan in a confidential review - usually with a callback within five minutes during business hours.
